    The UC Davis Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine is seeking a dynamic academic Clinical Pathologist/Clinical Chemist at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the Clinical (X) or the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series. Formal leadership opportunities may be available for well-qualified candidates in this area. UC Davis Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, led by Chair Dr. Florette Kimberly Hazard, is an innovative and growing department.

     

    Clinical duties will be chiefly in clinical chemistry, including subspecialties such as special chemistry and toxicology. Other opportunities for the position may include immunology, protein electrophoresis, point-of-care testing and other disciplines in clinical pathology. Responsibilities will include lab test development, innovation, laboratory administration and quality assurance.

     

    Teaching duties may include clinical, didactic, and small group teaching of house staff and medical students, interdisciplinary conferences to house staff and faculty, and curriculum development in subspecialty areas. Participation in the research mission of the institution is also expected, either as a collaborator or as the intellectual leader of clinically oriented research projects pertinent to the candidate’s areas of expertise and subspecialty training, depending on academic series chosen for appointment. General experience in other areas of clinical pathology may also be considered but is not required.

     

    Faculty in the Clinical X series is expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service.

     

    Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service.

     

    A California professional license or eligibility for licensure in California is required.

     

    The successful candidate must have an MD, DO, PhD, or combined MD/PhD or DO/PhD. For candidates with MD or DO degrees, board-certification in Clinical Pathology is also required. The ability to maintain a high level of service, work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment, exhibit excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain excellent relationships with medical and technical staff, trainees, and others are required.

    The University of Vermont Health Network and Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine are conducting a search to appoint the next Chief of Division of Hematology and Oncology. 


    The Division Chief of Hematology and Oncology will lead a division committed to excellence in clinical care, research, and education. As Chief, the physician leader will ensure delivery of high-quality care and services to patients, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, develop and implement strategic initiatives, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the Division. The Chief will set strategic goals and objectives aligned with the department's mission and vision, including the opportunity to expand cancer care across a rural geographic footprint. Specific duties include fostering the career development of faculty and other professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and excellence in patient care, fostering the academic 

    mission of the Division and Department, and working closely with the leadership of the UVM Cancer Center to obtain NCI designation. The Division Chief will advocate for hematology and oncology priorities, grow programs, and expand upon the vision and capacity. 


    The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology is the academic and clinical leader in the care of patients with blood disorders and cancer in Vermont and northern New York. The division includes 26 physicians based at the University of Vermont Medical Center, 7 physicians based at network sites, 10 research faculty and 22 advanced practice providers.  The combined Hematology/Medical Oncology fellowship training program is ACGME-accredited and, beginning in July 2025, will initiate a 3-year expansion from six to nine fellows and incorporate specific training in rural cancer care delivery. 


    The Chief should possess a proven track record across multiple areas, including individual scholarship, collaborative clinical leadership, program development, educational excellence, successful faculty recruitment and career development, and community engagement. A strong emphasis on working with interdisciplinary teams and collaborative research is essential.  This critical position requires an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and collaborative leader dedicated to bringing this Division and Cancer Center to the next level of excellence.

    The Department of Radiology at Stanford School of Medicine is searching for a full-time diagnostic neuroradiology faculty member to join our Division of Neuroimaging and Neurointervention. This faculty appointment is open rank and will be in the University Medical Line, University Tenure Line, or Clinician Educator Line.

    The Neuroradiology Division consists of an experienced and world-renowned faculty specializing in interpreting imaging studies of the brain, spine, and head and neck, in performing image-guided procedures and biopsies of the spine and head and neck, and in neurointervention. We offer minimally-invasive treatment of cerebral aneurysms and other cerebral vascular malformations, stenting of carotid arteries, vertebroplasty, and transvenous embolization of CSF fistulae, as well as urgent stroke management services. We have developed a unique expertise in advanced neuroimaging techniques including dual-energy CT, functional MRI, diffusion tensor imaging and tractography, and CT and MR perfusion imaging, including non-contrast methods such as arterial spin label perfusion. We have an active focus on brain “stress testing,” using advanced blood flow imaging with pharmacological challenge to evaluate cerebrovascular reserve. As part of a Comprehensive Certified Stroke Center, we offer rapid, dedicated stroke MR and CT vascular and perfusion imaging to differentiate between completed stroke and at-risk tissue. We offer additional advanced imaging services specifically tailored to support our colleagues in multiple clinical specialties, to support a busy Emergency Department, and as part of Level 1 Trauma Center care.


    Stanford Hospital & Clinics has expanded its hospital facilities to accommodate new medical technology and increased capacity needs. The new facilities feature private patient rooms, an enlarged Level-1 trauma center and Emergency Department, and new surgical, diagnostic and treatment rooms. Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital also expanded in order to meet growing community needs for specialized pediatric and obstetric care. The expansion provides patients and doctors with the most modern  clinical  advancements  and  technology  to  address  the  specialized  needs  of patients and their families. Multiple outpatient sites offer routine advanced imaging technologies and provide facilities for outpatient fluoroscopic- and CT-guided procedures. The Palo Alto VA hospital is also an important part of the planned growth at Stanford and supports numerous specialized research programs. Exceptional opportunities exist for research in all aspects of neuroradiology, both within the department and also across departmental boundaries at both the medical school and the university-wide levels. The candidate will be expected to be able to interpret the spectrum of neuroradiological CT and MRI studies (brain, spine, head & neck) and have or develop fluency with advanced imaging techniques (e.g., perfusion and functional imaging).  As part of clinical obligations, the candidate will participate in the neuroradiology call schedule.  There is the opportunity for candidate-driven initiatives to improve clinical care and engage in collaborative research.  


    Candidates must be ABR-certified radiologists who have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Neuroradiology and who have or are eligible for a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology. Proficiency with image-guided neuroradiology procedure skills (lumbar puncture, myelography) is expected. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clinicians, patients, and trainees are required. The Neuroimaging Division at Stanford has leaders in all aspects of neuroradiology, including Interventional Neuroradiology and advanced applications of non-invasive imaging of the brain, spine, and head and neck.     The SOM has seen tremendous growth, innovation and change in recent years, and the institution now enters an important period of assessing what is working well and what requires more attention and/or resources to ensure continued success. The current highly integrated and innovative curriculum was implemented in 2020, and the SAD will be instrumental in evaluating its progress. The SAD will lead the continued development of innovative physician workforce pathways that address underserved communities and diversify the academic faculty of the future through research pathways for students. The SOM had an LCME accreditation site visit in 2022 and received another full 8-year accreditation. The next scheduled LCME site visit is in 2030.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in medical education, a collaborative leadership style, an unwavering commitment to student and faculty mentorship and development, possess excellent communication skills, and be passionate about providing an exceptional student experience.     The Division Chief reports to Alan S. Wayne, MD, Chair of the Department of Pediatrics, Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of USC and works closely with the other Division Chiefs. The position includes an academic appointment with KSOM at the level of Associate Professor or Professor, appropriate to training and experience. Applicants are required to have an MD or comparable degree as well as outstanding qualifications in clinical care, education, and research. They must also be board-certified in Pediatrics with subspecialty certifications in Pediatric Pulmonology and preferably Sleep Medicine.


    The Division Chief will oversee the clinical, research, and educational activities of the division, lead recruitment efforts, and ensure career mentoring for division faculty and fellows. The Division of Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine is currently comprised of 13 faculty, 7 fellows, and 75 staff members including nurses, dietitians, technicians, social workers, and administrative personnel. The Division treats children with a wide range of complex pulmonary and sleep disorders, including asthma, cystic fibrosis, congenital central hypoventilation syndrome (CCHS), aerodigestive disorders, infant chronic lung disease, respiratory failure, interstitial lung disease, pneumonia and other conditions from infancy through adolescence and young adulthood. The program also diagnoses and treats the full spectrum of sleep disorders in our American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM)-certified Sleep Center. The Division is at the forefront of regional, national and international research efforts to bring about healthier lives for children, including membership in the Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) Collaborative and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Therapeutics Development Network (TDN) as well as active participation in the international Aerodigestive Society. The Division was one of 6 nationwide to receive a $1.5 million grant from the U.S Health Resources and Services Administration, which enabled our team to develop a leadership program for pediatric pulmonology health care professionals, including fellows, nurses and respiratory care practitioners.

    The College of Medicine seeks an accomplished and forward-thinking visionary education leader to serve as its’ first Vice Dean for Education. This newly elevated position presents a rare and powerful opportunity to drive the future of medical education during a time of transformative growth at the College of Medicine, with a potential to make a profound impact. 


    Reporting to the Executive Dean of the College of Medicine, the Vice Dean for Education will have responsibility for all aspects of medical education in the College of Medicine and play a key role in shaping the educational experiences of learners, trainees, and faculty, working closely with an engaged leadership team within the College. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, a track record of innovation, excellence, and growth, and excel in collaboration and communication. They will possess a deep understanding of current trends in medical education and the evolving landscape of academic medicine while also aligning educational goals with the unique healthcare needs in Illinois and across the nation. The successful candidate must hold an MD, PhD, or equivalent terminal degree in an appropriate field, qualify for a tenured faculty position in the College of Medicine, and demonstrate a proven ability to partner and collaborate with medical education leaders at both the strategic and operational levels.  The salary range for the position is $400,000 to $450,000.
