Endocrinologists (Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Medicine)- University of Central Florida College of Medicine
The University of Central Florida (UCF), College of Medicine Faculty Practice at UCF Health in Orlando, FL, is seeking applications from outstanding endocrinologists for two available tenure track or non-tenure track (clinical, multi-year) appointments at the assistant, associate or professor of medicine academic ranks. Applicants should be exceptional clinicians who wish to spend the majority of their time practicing in an outpatient setting. These positions involve delivering high quality, value-based, team-based outpatient care with opportunities for clinical research as well as medical student, resident and subspecialty endocrinology fellow teaching. Applicants need to have demonstrated outstanding clinical practice as well as a high level of communication, collaboration and professionalism.
UCF has grown to be the nation’s second largest university and has demonstrated particular excellence in science and technology. The College of Medicine (COM) was established in 2006, is fully LCME-accredited and successfully launched multiple ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency and subspecialty fellowship training programs, including endocrinology. The medical campus is located at Lake Nona, serving as an anchor to the 500 acre “Medical City”, which is rapidly growing to include our university teaching and other hospitals, clinics, and research institutes. The success of the university faculty practice, UCF Health, has led to continuing growth and expansion that includes more clinic sites, state-of-the-art facilities and multiple specialties across our academic departments and participating hospitals. The College also includes undergraduate and many graduate programs in biomedical sciences and biotechnology.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have an M.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school. Candidates must be eligible for licensure or actively licensed to practice in the State of Florida. They must be ABIM board certified in Endocrinology or board eligible upon completion of training. Board certification would be expected within two (2) years of completion of training.

Preferred Qualifications:
A preference is that candidates have extensive clinical experience in caring for patients with diabetes mellitus and thyroid diseases, with specific training and considerable experience in the use of ultrasound technology to image and biopsy the thyroid gland. An interest in the care of patients with the metabolic syndrome and new technologies for diabetes monitoring and insulin therapies is also preferred.
It is desirable for candidates to have interest and expertise in collaborating with existing faculty participating in adrenal and pituitary-adrenal research and endocrine surgery. Candidates who have additional faculty-level experience in endocrinology graduate medical education (e.g. fellowship) programs, peer-reviewed publications in the discipline of endocrinology, and have participated in research trials concerning endocrinologic disorders will be given special
consideration.

The VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) and Stanford University invite nuclear medicine physicians to apply to join its full-time faculty as Chief, Nuclear Medicine. As the Chief, Nuclear Medicine, the incumbent will maintain a faculty appointment in the University Tenure Line, Medical Center Line, or Clinician Educator Line, at Stanford University School of Medicine. The VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) consists of three inpatient divisions located at Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Livermore, in addition to seven Community Based Outpatient Clinics. VAPAHCS has 833 operating beds, which include 100 acute care beds located at the Palo Alto division. VAPAHCS provides a full range of patient care services with state-of-the-art technology, as well as education and research. Comprehensive health care is provided through primary, tertiary, and long-term care in areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, geriatrics, and extended care. VAPAHCS is also home to one of the most advanced educational simulation centers in the VA network. The imaging services will be opening a new building this year with all new modalities, including a PET/MRI. Replacement of all nuclear medicine equipment is slated for 2021.

Informatics experience is desirable as VAPAHCS is a center of informatics innovation throughout the nation, and Stanford is leader in the field.

Family Medicine Physician –Medical Director (Team Lead)
Denver Health in beautiful Denver, Colorado, is currently recruiting a Family Medicine Physician –Medical Director (Team Lead) to lead the staff and operations at our Park Hill Family Health Center, located in North East Denver. This Patient Centered Medical Home consists of a group of physicians and advanced Practice providers, working in a team based care model, with MA, Nurses, social workers, patient navigators, integrated behavioral health and addiction counselors. The Medical Director should have a minimum of three years of practice experience. Experience in a medical director or other leadership role is preferred but not required. The Medical Director will be responsible for managing the staff and operations of a clinic at Denver Health. Providers at Park Hill provide the full scope of ambulatory Family Medicine services, including primary care of all ages including prenatal care and family planning services, management of chronic diseases. Opportunities to work providing inpatient care are available, although not required.

Responsibilities

The Department of Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital seeks candidates to serve as the Chief of the Division of General Pediatrics. This is a full-time tenured position, at the rank of associate or full professor rank. The successful candidate will be a creative and dynamic individual with excellent leadership, research, teaching, administrative and communication skills. Responsibilities will include working to expand and enhance the research, educational and clinical activities of the division including supervising and mentoring faculty towards gaining independence in research and in developing and implementing clinical pediatric policies. Strong background in research and scholarship is required. Research concerning clinical and health services, population health, quality of care and/or public policy is preferred. Candidates must be board certified in general or adolescent medicine and must be licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice medicine in California. The applicant must have a M.D. or equivalent. Compensation for the position is competitive. Individuals with a history of and commitment to mentoring trainees from underrepresented minorities are encouraged to apply.
The Division of General Pediatrics provides approximately 14,000 annual outpatient services and supervises residents in Pediatrics and Med-Peds as well as UCLA medical students at numerous academic and community insured and safety net clinics throughout the greater LA area. These clinics serve a racially, ethnically, and economically diverse population. The Division is home to several subspecialty programs including: Pediatric Dermatology, the Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Program, and the Craniofacial Program. In addition, the Division’s faculty members lead UCLA’s Pediatric Residency Program, the Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Program, the Fit for Healthy Weight Program, and the nationally recognized Pediatric Medical Home Program for medically complex children. Finally, the Division has a thriving Child Health Services Research Program that supports research fellows and junior faculty researchers. The faculty are integrated with the Los Angeles Unified School District, Los Angeles County Department of Health Services and Department of Child and Family Services and the Los Angeles Juvenile Justice System. Much of the research activities are focused on childhood adversities, childhood determinants of adult health, medically complex children, early childhood development, childhood obesity, education and health, youth incarceration, teen risk behaviors, and child health policy. Community outreach includes both an Early Intervention and an Early Head Start Program.
