Why Justice for Epstein Survivors is a Bipartisan Mandate

"What you do to children matters. And they might never forget." — Toni Morrison

In a searing new op-ed, ABWP Past President Dr. Valencia P. Walker argues that the fight for Jeffrey Epstein’s survivors transcends politics. As a pediatrician, Dr. Walker sees firsthand how childhood trauma leaves "chronic scars" that manifest as life-long health struggles, from heart disease to depression.

With the recent arrest of Prince Andrew and the ongoing release of the "Epstein Files," Dr. Walker highlights why we must:

  • Prioritize Privacy: Demand the DOJ redact survivor identities to prevent re-traumatization.

  • Demand Accountability: Support bipartisan efforts like the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

  • Protect the Vulnerable: Acknowledge that the same systems failing these survivors are failing Indigenous girls and Black youth at record rates.

We cannot "get onto something else." It is time to be the collective shield our children deserve.
