Health Equity is a Civil Right ✊🏾🩺

We were honored to have our President-Elect, Dr. Anastasia Williams, represent the Association of Black Women Physicians (ABWP) at L.A.’s Official Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade!

Interviewed by ABC7 Los Angeles, Dr. Williams spoke on the vital connection between Dr. King’s legacy and our mission today. At ABWP, we believe that health equity is the cornerstone of civil rights. We cannot have a "spectacular celebration of freedom" without ensuring our communities have the health and wellness they deserve.

A huge thank you to Bakewell Media and the LA Sentinel for organizing this incredible event and uniting our city in the spirit of equality and community empowerment. Together, we are reclaiming the dream and working toward a future where every Black woman and her community can thrive.
