May is Preeclampsia Awareness Month

Time is ticking, but the fight isn't over!  May is Preeclampsia Awareness Month, and even as it wraps up, the critical message remains: Preeclampsia is a leading cause of maternal & infant mortality. The Association of Black Women Physicians in partnership with Black Infant & Families Los Angeles' AAIMM prevention initiative urges you to KNOW YOUR NUMBERS. Check your blood pressure, understand what it means, and share with your provider. Hypertension is the #1 red flag for this life-threatening condition. Let's protect Black mamas and babies!
