This National Women's Health Week (May 11-17, 2025)

This National Women's Health Week (May 11-17, 2025), the Association of Black Women Physicians (ABWP) is proud to partner with the Los Angeles County African American Infant and Maternal Mortality (AAIMM) Initiative to raise critical awareness about the health and well-being of Black women, with a vital focus on maternal and infant health.

This week serves as a powerful reminder for Black women to prioritize their health, seek preventative care, and advocate for their needs. Our partnership with AAIMM is dedicated to addressing the systemic inequities that contribute to the disproportionately high rates of maternal and infant mortality in the Black community.

Together, we are committed to ensuring that Black women and families in Los Angeles County have access to the resources, support, and equitable care needed for healthy pregnancies, safe deliveries, and thriving babies.

Join us in amplifying this message and empowering Black women to make their health a priority. Find out more information on https://www.blackwomenphysicians.org/aaimm.
